Row 1: Sc in the second stitch and all chains until the end. Place marker (M) on 151st st. Turn (301 sts)
Row 2: Ch1, sc until 3 sts after M, sc2tog, sl st in next st (move marker up with each row). Turn.
Row 3: Ch1, sk the sl st, sc until 3 sts past M, sc2tog, sl st in next st. Turn.
Row 4: Ch1, sk the sl st, sc until you reach to sc2tog, sc2tog using the same sc used for ch 1 in earlier row and the next sc, sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog, sl st in next st. Turn.
Rep row 4 until all the 301 sts have been worked. Turn.
Next row: Sc along the top edge to keep the top edge neat. Cut yarn.
Join CC with sl st, rev sc along the top edge only. Cut yarn.
Row 1: Join with CC at upper left end with sl st (you’ll have the CC you just worked to your right), sc in the edge sts and in each sc until the other end. Turn.
Row 2: Ch3 (Count as dc), dc in same st, *dc in next st, 2dc in next st, rep from * until the end. Turn.
Rep row 2, 2 more times. Cut yarn.
Weave in ends and block the shawl for a lovely finish.
