We’re doing Craft Smarter in the New Year again this year (take a peek at last year’s Craft Smarter 2018)! We’re so excited too! We have 3 weeks of posts planned (4 knitting, 4 crochet and 1 that’ll work for both).
If you’d like a hint, here’s one set of yarn that we’re using*.
And here are a couple swatches too.
We’ll show a bunch of different ways to gradually go from one color to another. It’s a fun little exploration and combining the colors in all these different ways has been great!
You can use these techniques for blending colors you bought with that intention, or to go from one color to another in your stash, or even if you’re transitioning between two dye lots of the same color.
Want to work the swatches with us? If you’re anything like me, you have tons of different options in your stash. If you’re having trouble getting it down to a few colors, read our article on color choices for some great ideas on places to go to work through color options or give you color ideas. You can get lost in browsing or start with a color you love and go from there.
And it also gives you variations on the colors you choose in case you like what you’ve chosen but you don’t *love* it, yet. You can even upload a pic and it’ll give you a color palette based on it.
Come back on Monday for our first Craft Smarter in the New Year post (hint – its swatch is shown above). And we’ll also list each post that we plan to cover in this year’s series so you know when we plan to release each one.
Of course, you can subscribe to our blog to keep up with all our posts, tutorials, review, giveaways and more! Get an email whenever we post something new so you don’t miss out.
