We want Knotions to be a great resource for you.  Since the site is made up of patterns from many designers, we've created a set of standards for all designers to use when developing patterns for us.

Knotions' Standard Measurements

Our measurement charts include women, men, babies, and children.  Measurements include the basics such as chest, waist, and hips, as well as some harder to locate ones such as armhole depth and arm length.

We've also found that it's difficult to find a single set of women's charts that includes a big range of sizes.  Our charts range from a bust of 28 through 54 inches -- all on one set of charts.  We encourage designers to include a large range of sizes, and hope this makes it a bit easier for them to do so.

Knotions' Standard Abbreviations

Our list of standard abbreviations used in all our patterns.  We link to this page from every pattern, and we'll continue to add to it as we publish new patterns.
