Theodore by Ann Thompson

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
                --Theodore Roosevelt

I made this scarf for my husband (whose favorite president is T.R.) after the yarn had been sitting in stash for more than a year. I wanted to design something simple and classic. The pattern may appear understated, but the stitch definition is surprisingly squishy, and the alpaca gives it a deceptive warmth and softness for harsh winters. As luck would have it, D.C. experienced one of the mildest winters yet…but he’ll be ready for next year.
