If I had a nickel every time I forgot my measuring tape – well, I’d have a whole lot of nickels.
No measuring tape shouldn’t slow your crafting down though. Here are a few ways to work around the next time you leave it behind…
- Use your phone!
Know the width and height of the screen on your phone. You never leave home without it, right?
- Know the measurement of your favorite needle or hook
If you have a need to measure your crafting you must have a needle or hook.
- Know the measurement of your wallet
Just like your phone, it’s likely you have a wallet with you.
- Compare it to the finished one
This is an easy one – if you’re on the second one (sock, shawl end, sleeve) compare it to the first
- Download a ruler image to your phone
Go here. Insta-ruler!
- Install a ruler app on your phone
There are way more ruler apps than I would have expected. Note – installing an app takes resources on your phone. I put this one last because it’s my least favorite option (read – I won’t do it) but I know app-mania reigns so I didn’t want to skip it.
