Aaku means Leaf in Telugu (my native language).
The pattern was inspired by the leaves blowing in the icy winter winds. The pattern itself isn’t upright, but slightly tilted, as every leaf is in the wind.

Dc inc: 2 dc in same stitch
(Dc, fp-edc, dc) tog: Work just like a dc3tog, but the edc will be worked just until the “yo hook, pull up loop, CH1, yo hook and pull through 2 loops”. When you’re ready to do the tog part you’ll have 4 loops on your hook (1 from the CH, 1 from the first DC, 1 from the edc and 1 from the last DC).

- The starting hdc/dc of each row is made with ch2/ch3.
- Slip last stitch of each round to first stich of each round.

Manasa learned to knit as a kid, but quit soon to focus on formal education. She worked in a corporate career before opting to be a homemaker.
Recently she has found her focus back on knitting, crochet and needlecrafts, and hasn’t looked back since then.
Most of her designs are geared towards beginners and many will find that her patterns are easy to knit.
