The Year is Going Quickly

I can’t believe that January is almost over!

As a northeasterner, I’m accustomed to January being frigid and dark and slushy and just generally YUCKY.

But, this is now my third January in Florida, and I’ve finally become used to January being a good time of the year. Don’t get jealous though, because we have the true climate equalizer of July and August.

Upcoming Issues

I received the photography for both the February and April issues!

The two themes:

• February is Fusion Designs: we’re featuring designs that join 2 different things (fibers, techniques and countries, for our issue)
• April is Gothic Designs: we’re showcasing 2 designs that take their cue from Gothic Architecture

I have to say that I’m very proud of both of these issues! Between the themes, the designs and the designers (some you’ve seen before and some you haven’t) – there’s a lot to love.

I can’t wait to share them with you! Your first look will be next week’s Early Sneak Peek.

I Need to Fess Up

I’ve been trying to get to our Craft Smarter in the New Year, and it hasn’t happened.

It’s been a perfect storm of things that had to be done NOW.

My commitment to Craft Smarter hasn’t wavered though. But I’ve admitted that I can’t do it now AND do it well.

Instead of Craft Smarter in the New Year, it’s going to be Craft Smarter in the Summer.

But Let’s End on a High Note
