Do you have that one special skein of indie-dyed yarn lying around waiting for the perfect pattern to really show it off?
This might just be the pattern for you!
The Brushstroke Hat was designed to highlight hand-painted and variegated colorways, combining two of my favorite stitches – brioche and herringbone.
Using just one skein of fingering yarn held double (or just a single strand of DK), this hat is the perfect way to show off a special yarn with two beautiful and timeless texture stitches. The optional pom pom gives you a chance to buy all those fun ones you see at the stores, or you can even make your own!
If you are new to either brioche or herringbone stitch, now is your chance to learn.
This pattern gives detailed instructions and includes a link to a video tutorial which can give you a helpful visual aid.
This hat has quickly become my favorite go-to hat 🙂
I hope you enjoy it!
