Ignore the heading – most of these work for knitting and crochet (and even sewing and embroidery).
This is a fun little way of how most of us have felt while crafting, The triumph and the defeat. We’ve felt it all, right?
All Tangled Up? Check. We’ve all been hit by a skein that just won’t comply. Either a wound skein that barfs out the whole center or an unwound skein that seems to have it out to get us.
And don’t even get me started on skeins that just. won’t. untangle. I take it as a personal challenge not to cut the skein (do you do that?) but it’s really silly – especially when I know the Magic Knot.
Help? (and sad face) Check. Need I say more?
Finished Object? I finish things so rarely that when I do, I’m on top of the world.
One Down? Oh yeah. Well, maybe there is – after you finish one of something. We won’t mention when you need to follow that up with #2. That’s less than awesome.
But let’s bask in the glow that one is done 🙂 Because one is greater than zero. You don’t need to be a math major to know that 😉
Moda says. And she’s high-fiving you.
Sweet Stash? Can you say shopping? Do I need to say any more? There’s no better feeling than the one that overcomes us when we have that feeling of power and unending promise.
And shopping! New yarn! Project ideas!
Dropped Stitch? (or missed stitch for crocheters) – A big, unfortunate yes.
Let’s Knit (or crochet, or embroider, or sew) – Oh. Yes! There’s nothing like that feeling when you start a project.
Lost Count? Argh! We’ve all been there. Count up to what feels like eleventy-billion and have someone talk to you. Grr…
Work in Progress? We all have that “omg it’s gorgeous” moment.
Ah, the ups and downs of crafting. Unfortunately, we’ve all been there. Interweave hit the nail on the head with this one.
Tangled up with yarn, or that feeling of “No one can stop me now.” after finishing something…until we admit to ourselves that we need to make that second sleeve/sock/mitt.
Now I just wish I knew how to add them to my phone.
(BTW, here’s a link to a search on how to add emoticons to your phone. I have an iPhone but apparently it takes a little more if you have an Android).
I still want to add these as emoticons so leave a comment if you know how?
