Where did the Idea for a Fusion Issue come from?
I’m a cooking TV junkie. So, it’s not surprise that I came up with a Fusion issue. Chefs aren’t the only ones who can fuse 2 things. And this issue shows you that it can be beautiful too.
What’s In the Issue?
We delve into the dynamic interplay of 2 (somethings). In our case, those somethings are:
- 2 yarns
OR
- 2 cultures
OR
- 2 stitch patterns
What Does Fusion Mean for Knitting?
Many projects use more than one thing, so I wanted to be sure that the fusion was engrained in the object.
What Does Fusion Mean for You?
As I reviewed the submissions, many of them made me google things to better understand them. I love it when our craft makes me a smarter human.
What Else is in The Issue?
In addition to the 3 patterns, we’ve also given you:
- 4 Stitchopedias focussed on simple stitches. They’re great for projects where the yarn (or yarnS) are the star.
- 2 Articles on mohair yarn (prime for fusing). We show you just plain mohair (also showcased in our Jogakbo Stole) as well as mohair when being held with another yarn (similar to this month’s The Lioness in Winter Cowl).
- Get to know Christine from Atellier des Glenettes a bit more in her Designer Focus.
I hope you get lot of ideas about ways to bring Fusion into your Crafting! And I’ll see you in a couple months.
