Are you looking for a few ideas for someone you know that crochets?
Great for Knitters, too
These ideas are great for both Crocheters and Knitters, too. Many people dabble in both crafts, so we wanted to create a list that worked for both!
From top to bottom, and left to right we have:
First Row
- Scissors – get them a special pair that will always make them think of YOU
- Slow Cookers – this might seem odd, but if they have a slow cooker, it will give them more time for yarny things
- Measuring Tape – there are TONS of different options here
Middle Row
- Organizers from Thread & Maple – they might not splurge on this themselves
- Jessabelle bags – great because it will stay on your arn
Bottom Row
- Tote – hold lots of things in style
- Mug – it had the writing on both sides, so it’s great for a righty or a lefty
- Yarn swift and winder – handle yarn that comes in hanks (most indie yarn comes this way)

We Intentionally *Didn’t* Include…
You won’t see any yarn, needles or hooks on our list.
While these are products that *every* knitter and crocheter uses, they’re highly personal.
I’d suggest steering clear from them unless the recipient told you explicitly that they wanted X.
I’ve been both a knitter and a crocheter for over 40 years, and I can tell you that there are only a select few that know my favorite needles or hooks or that I really don’t like a certain yarn brand.
About the Author: Jody Richards
Jody is the founder and lead editor of Knotions. She loves poring over stitch dictionaries and trying out new stitches. And while she likes all things crafting (well ok, except that one thing), yarn crafts are her true love (and she has the stash to prove it).
She’s a serial starter-of-projects and has a serious problem with finishing things without a deadline.
And don’t get her talking about hand-dyed yarns. You’ve been warned.
