Most of you are probably familiar with Eucalan – gentle to wool, doesn’t need to be washed out, and is great for both blocking and general washing.
Did you know?
There were things I didn’t know about Eucalan until I researched a bit for this giveaway, and some of them may be new to you too.
- Mary Ellen Edgar learned of the no-rinse laundry product while on vacation in Australia, and was so impressed that she started the company after she got back home.
- The name Eucalan is a combination of 2 of the main ingredients – Eucalyptus and Lanolin.
- It’s also great to wash delicates in a travel situation because of the no-rinse. Just wash, let it dry and it’s ready to go!
Eucalan has a lot of uses, and I grabbed this from their site,
Eucalan offers a new spin on laundry and a practical alternative to dry cleaning fine woolens, lace, embellished apparel, stretch materials, silks, wool, cashmere, etc.
I think I need to take my bottle out from under the sink and use it for more than my hand knitting and crochet! I never realized just how practical this is and just how many uses it has.

Good People and Good Product
I’ll leave you with this quote from Mary Ellen Edgar, “[I] remain driven to provide the very best service and the very best product at the very best price – and to succeed at business in a fair and honest way”.
I just love when good product and good people intersect. Makes me feel good that I’ve been using Eucalan for all these years!
Love Eucalan, been using it for years, would love to win some!!!!
I would love to try this product! I’ve heard so many great things about it.
Never used Eucalan before have always used Kookaburra but can’t find any locally since moving. Small town so probably won’t find the Eucalan either but have lots of plied Gotland to wash before knitting. Would love to try some!
Your site is very hard to read because of all the advertisements all over the place. And impossible to print from.
Thanks for your input!
If you use the print button in the upper right of every pattern and tutorial, it allows you to choose what to print or not.
BTW, the ads are there to help pay for the site given all the patterns are free but the designers do get paid for them. Let me know if you have another idea in mind to make it easier for you and still a business for us? I’d love to get another way to make it work!
What a great product!
it is so great to have such an alternative for the care of so many things using this product.
love this concept.
Love this product use for all my hand knits
I would love to try Eucalan.
