[interview] Amber, this month’s model

Did you guys notice that we have a new model this month? Her name is Amber and we love getting a different look with the designs!

Read on to learn a bit more behind this new face 🙂

Where do you live? 

I currently live in Maryland and I’m from Maryland. 

What got you interested in modeling? 

I’ve always loved taking pictures even when I was younger. I had an interest in photography since high school. When my sister passed and as I got older I started thinking about what I really wanted to do in life.

When my job was shutdown due to COVID in 2020, I started The Model University online with Dean Lola Chél.

How did you learn to do your makeup? 

If I do my own makeup I keep it very natural. I leave the makeup to the Makeup Artists lol

Do you have aspirations beyond modeling?

I want to help families and uplift women. 

What are some other things you enjoy doing? 

I love to cook, travel and be around other creatives and positive people. 

editor: Being around positive people is KEY! Their happiness is infectious 🙂

Are you married and do you have kids?

Not yet 

What about self-care tips since we’re all so busy? 

Make sure you take care of your body, skin and mental health. 

I pray, read and say affirmations in the morning. I workout daily, journal and I try my best to eat healthy. For my skin care routine I recently started using Cera Ve Renewing SA Cleanser and The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA. I also use Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor. 

editor: And yep, knitting and crochet count as self-care!

Do you knit or crochet?

No. While I do have creative interests, I’ve never tried knitting or crochet.

How many outfits do you bring to a shoot?

2-3 outfits, so I can change into different things depending on the look I’m trying to get.

How do you stay on top of trends ? 

I wear what I like.

Any tips for styling Knotions designs? 

Switch it up depending on the outfit!

Wear your Knotions design as a cover up or scarf.
