There are several ways to mark up a pattern when it’s multi-sized so you more safely follow the numbers just for your size. They all take a couple minutes but it’s time well-spent. We’ve all made the mistake of following the wrong size’s numbers only to realize it a few rows later. Take the time to mark up your pattern now. You’ll thank me later.
Circle or Underline
One of the easiest ways to make your size more obvious is to circle or underline the counts that apply to you. It’s pretty easy and you can do it in just a few minutes.
Highlight
If you don’t have a highlighter you should get one! The multi-packs with several colors are great so you can mark things with different colors. They’re great for patterns and charts. Go get a pack NOW.
Cross Out
Another way is to cross out all the other sizes. I recommend a marker to do this so it’s obvious. The thin-ness of a pen can make it easy enough to still see the other sizes unless you really cross them out a lot. And who wants to do that?
My Favorite
You might have guessed that my favorite method is the cross out. It hides all the other sizes so you’re only left with yours. It’s almost like the pattern was written just for you!
