Ok – it’s just four days until Christmas and you don’t have a gift for (insert name here). Don’t worry – I have a few ideas for you. These are all quicker to work up so you can make them in time for gift-giving.
I mean, who wants to give a picture of the items and an IOU. Not that I’ve ever done that.
Much.
Knitted Knot Cowl

This is a great choice for giving a gift that doesn’t look knitted. The knots play off a fun, multi-colored handdyed and the result is anything but ordinary.
Pick a few of her favorite colors and go. It’s a treat for the knitter and the wearer.
Baby at Work – Hat

Crochet up this quick hat for the baby in your life. Pick a main color and a few accents and go.
Marine Layer Mitts

This one is great if you don’t know the exact size of the recipient. Use a worsted weight yarn plus a tiny bit of an accent color and go.
Afraid about the thumb gussets? No worries – we have you covered with our tutorial.
Sockstar

No round up would be complete without mentioning our Sockstar eBook. If your recipient is either a sock knitter or sock knitter wanna-be, this is a great gift. At over 50 pages and just $6.95, it’s sure to have something for everyone.
It’s Your Call
We have a lot of free patterns for you to choose from and these are just a few options. Peruse our pattern archives and you might find just the thing you want to give.
Notice what’s missing – socks and shawls. While we love both (we really love both) , we don’t think it’s likely that you’ll get either done in time. Save yourself some anxiety and stress and go for a quicker project.
You give pictures? That is a much better idea than wrapping the WIP, on the needles, and then asking for it back to complete.
Who me do that?
Ha. Well in the end it’s the same – pics or the WIP.
In all honesty, both show poor planning and added stress.
