If you like a little fuzzy halo but you still want structure, adding a strand of mohair might be just the thing.

Does It Change the Color?
Adding a strand of mohair can add a bit of a color change.
I purposely put the one swatch on top because you can easily see where the strand of mohair is.
While you can also see it in the other two swatches, the colors are so close to each other that it’s harder. Interestingly, I see the mohair MORE in the pics than I do IRL.
Does It Change the Gauge?
That thin strand DOES actually change the gauge a bit.

See how the bottom three are a bit wider than the top three?
While it doesn’t seem like a lot (just 0.25 sts per inch/4 cm), it translate to an addition 2 inches/8 cms over 200 sts. So, it’s worth noting.
How Does it Feel?
The swatch has just a bit of a halo to it. But I’m surprised at how much more substantial the swatch feels!

Mohair certainly packs a punch for such a fine little strand.
