I always love seeing what people find the most interesting. Sometimes I’m surprised, sometimes I’m not – but I’m always excited to see what people think. Isn’t it fun to see what people find interesting? It’s like getting to see a sneak peek into their world.
Here’s a run-down of the 5 most popular patterns in the issue*. We have a shawl, 2 cowls, a dishcloth and a hat.
White Queen’s Shawl
What’s not to love? Small cast on (it’s top-down), leaves and a gorgeous border. We link to our tutorials on the tab cast on and reading charts to help you if you need a refresher.
Belle Epoque Cowl
This is one gorgeous cowl! It looks complicated but the Brioche stitch really isn’t. It’s a great excuse to combine 4 (or 2) sets of colors and keep you warm when you’re done.
Heart Illusion Dishcloth
This is a great way to try your hand at Tunisian Crochet. Two colors of yarn and you can even pick it up at your local craft store. Just make sure you pick a 100% cotton so it’s absorbent. If you’ve been curious to try Tunisian Crochet this is a great intro project.
Geode Ruby Cowl
What a great way to try your hand at stranded knitting without risking fit if you’re a bit tighter than expected! This cowl combines two colors plus a third to make a gorgeous cowl.
Pastilles Hat
What a fun hat! The main color (the grey) is offset by a few accent colors (the pinks and black) in a stitch that doesn’t use any stranded knitting. Tune back later this week when we do a tutorial of the stitch.
All 5 are great patterns. Check them out in the January 2017 issue!
* based on Google Analytics from January 7-9, although Ravelry faves are pretty similar.
