You know how your cable edges can get stretched out? There’s an easy way to address it….
If you have the issue where the edge of the cable stitch gets stretched – it makes sense! The cable has a long way to travel and all that manipulation and tugging can take its toll.
Making It Neater
ON THE ROW BEFORE, make the stitches have less yarn by doing this
- Knit = KTBL (this will become a purl stitch on the RS so it won’t be seen).
- Purl = Purl by putting the yarn under. This will mount the stitch incorrectly. Correct it on the next row.
See It In Action
Do this on 3 stitches of the previous row:
Pick the stitches based on where the cable is coming from. Take 3 stitches from the row BEFORE YOU’RE CABLING. Do this by taking the stitch itself plus one on each side. It’s harder to describe but easy to show it – so, see above.
