Do you really think an open board is good for yarn storage?
From my experience two (or more) disadvantages:
1) balls and skeins tend to fall out …
2) Dust Dust Dust
3) Moths Moths Moths
4) Cats Cats Cats
I think it depends on the situation. I have 2 cats so I never would but for some it would be just fine!
I like the inspiration that it brings!
I have a cat so I keep my stash in two blanket chests and a dresser. Would not use open shelving because she would play with the yarn, make a nest in it or use it to tie up our dining room chairs.
Thanks, Nancy! We have a cat and I do have open storage, but only up high enough so she can’t get to it.
Most of my yarn is behind doors or lids.
