Pele is the Hawaiian Goddess of fire and volcanos and these are the mitts I imagined she would wear.
“Why would a Goddess of volcanos wear mitts,” you ask? Well, I’ll admit it doesn’t make sense, but Tunisian crochet doesn’t need to make sense because it’s ART. Hrmph!
With that said, these mitts are a quick and engaging work up. If made in ‘Randall’s Island’ sport weight yarn, you’ll end up with luxuriously soft mitts that are toasty warm for the winter weather, but light enough for indoor wear in chilly offices too. Enjoy!

About the Designer: Maybe Katie
I believe crocheted clothes can look young and modern.
I believe in dressing children in bright colors. (They can wear neutrals when they’re middle-aged.)
I believe…
…modifications are from heaven
…stitch counts are from hell
….and people who watch TV without yarn in their hands are just plain weird.
