Seekonk continues my intarsia experimentation. Bold triangles, garter stitch and stripes combine in a fun, bright accessory. The name is inspired by the center motif which reminds me of the flying geese block seen in quilting.
A perfect excuse to pick up some mini skeins or maybe go stash diving.
The shawl is worked from the bottom up. The center motif is created using a simple intarsia technique. No charts needed! The side wings are created by picking up stitches and shaped by decreases.

Pattern Notes
MC needs to be wound into two separate balls, approximately 200 yards each.
Locking stitch markers are ideal for this pattern.
This shawl is knit from the bottom up. Increases are used to create a shallow triangle. A center motif is created using intarsia. Side “wings” are created by picking up body stitches.
To avoid holes at color changes, make sure to interlock yarns.
The motifs are created by simply moving markers. No charts needed. Trust me!
Colors are referred to as MC (Grey Onyx), Color A (Baia), Color B (Navy) and Color C (Tequila Lime).
The shawl has an unusual construction method. Here’s how it’s created:
