This is a triangular shawl made from triangular motifs in two colors.
It is based on the Sierpinski fractal which was first described in 1915 by Waclaw Sierpinski and is very famous if you happen to be a mathematician.
A version of the fractal pattern featured on the sleeves of Mysterio’s costume in the London battle scene of Marvel’s Spiderman Far From Home.

About the Designer: Hannah Smith
Hannah is a high school math teacher living in Sydney, Australia. She has always been intrigued with geometry and this comes through in her patterns.
Like so many of us, she was taught to knit and crochet by her Grandma and doesn’t really remember learning. She was also taught to sew by her mother and is comfortable with all these techniques and with the math that is needed for knitting and crochet.
She designs both knitting and crochet patterns.
