The Swatch Expands
Do you see how the swatch gets bigger at the top?
This is because the cables were scrunching it in.
If I was making this in an actual FO, I would have decreased right after I finished making the cables. I don’t know of a hard-and-fast rule for how many decreases to do, but I’d start with one decrease for each time they cross over. That would be 5 times in this swatch.

About the Instructor: Jody Richards

Jody is the founder and lead editor of Knotions. She loves poring over stitch dictionaries and trying out new stitches.
She’s also on a mission to get everyone to embrace the blocking. And, to avoid using garter stitch edges in knit swatches made for gauge.
And while she likes all things crafting (well ok, except that one thing), yarn crafts are her true love (and she has the stash to prove it).
