If you’re newer to Knotions you might not realize we have a lot of sock patterns. We have ankle socks, crew socks and even a couple longer ones. Our patterns work with gradients, hand dyeds, semi solids and longer stripes. Lace, cables and texture.
Here are a few you might have missed:
Red Delicious – Crew length with three colors (no more than 2 per row). And look at that pretty rib at the top. They look awesome with that red pair of shoes but I’d bet they work regardless.
Lazy Daisy – Knit up a quick pair of anklets. I sized them for yarn with some lycra in it so don’t let the peculiar size bug you. And as my friend Christy can attest, I do like a nice picot edge.
Lakeside knee-highs – A lot of people have made these and with good reason. They’re pretty and they’re knit-worthy. Plus you can customize the fit based on the wearer’s size.
Don’t miss our socks. All the patterns are free and many have been made tons of times already (so they’ve been well-road-tested)
And here are a few more:
Dribbling Drops – Great for stripes, solids or hand dyeds. It’s mostly a rib but it looks like so much more. I made a pair out of some Trekking and they get a lot of wear when it’s not 10,000 degrees out (like it is today).
Glass Slippers – Cables meet texture in this great sock design. I love how the cable ends at a point at the top of the sock and after knitting Inis Oirr, simple textures have become a favorite.
Don’t miss the tutorial on dyeing your own yarn and the article on binding off loosely with the decrease bind off. So easy to work and the result is great.
If you haven’t yet, spend a few minutes in our back catalog. You might be surprised.
