We posted the preview last week but here are a few more pics. I know I said three patterns but technically it’s four if you’re eagle-eyed.
While we do have 11 free patterns releasing on Saturday, today we’re focusing on just a few (see the pic below).
The Marine Layer scarf (and also the fingerless mitts and cowl) are a great way to make a matching set for you and a friend. Two coordinating skeins of yarn make both. It’s a great gift item and an awesome excuse to buy some beautiful yarn. A red and pink? Sure. Two shades of grey? Yep. Or maybe black and white. Very stylish.
The AOE socks are a lot of fun and you get to roll the dice to randomize the placement of cables and lace. Make your own unique pair of socks. What a pretty excuse to break out a die – and if you don’t have one, don’t worry. We link to an online version as well. But if you do it might take you back to the days you played Dungeons & Dragons in the basement with your brother and his friends (at least, that’s what dice always mean to me). Even the “regular” six-sided kind.
And the Ricochet bag is a great introduction to crochet and felting. It’s sturdy and you get a usable item when you’re done. Who doesn’t need another bag? That magnetic closure is so pretty and functional. And that interior pocket is a great way to secure valuables you want to keep close at hand. If you’re considering trying out crochet, a felted item is a great way to start. It’s less particular about the gauge and you get a complete item when you’re done.
We’re almost there – just two more days before you can get these patterns and more (click to enlarge the pic). We can’t wait.
