[tutorial] Decrease 5 to 1

This is a way to decrease the stitches on both sides of a center stitch. When you’re done, you’ll just be left with a single purl stitch.

How to work a Decrease 5 to 1

Step 1: Sl2 p-wise.

Step 2: P1.

Step 3: *Slip first st back to LH needle,

Step 4: lift the second st on LH needle over the first one and slip it to RH needle,

Step 5: lift the second st on RH needle over the first one. Repeat from * once more.

Finished

You’re done! You’ve reduced 5 stitches to 1.
