Gauge is VERY important. If you don’t meet the gauge, then you aren’t making the pattern.

I am confused. The post says the swatches use both a 7 and a 10 needle. It looks to me as though the left swatch was done entirely on a 7 and the right on a 10, unless you mean that the borders were done on the 10 and the stockinette section on the 7? Otherwise, I don’t understand what “both” means.

they each used ONLY one of those 2 sizes. i changed the words so that’s clearer.
