The Magic Knot is a wonderful way to join yarn!
You get to add a ball of yarn and you have NO ENDS to weave in!
Don’t let the length of this video discourage you. I give you lots of tips and ways to make it.
It’s the join that I use regularly and it only takes me maybe 30 seconds.

I grew up in a fishing town. This form of joining two ends was a very common sight and learned very early on.

That’s so cool!
I love it when something that’s commonplace in one place gets repurposed in another 🙂

Hello – I wanted to thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial – I am making an extra long scarf for my brother, and not having to weave in a bunch of ends along the way is making it all look so much nicer, especially since it is a striped scarf and I’m already carrying up the side. Thanks again, much appreciated for this new (to me) technique!!!
