These lovely gloves start with a simple but highly textured basketweave pattern at the cuff, and then have a stockinette hand with unusual thumb gusset. Many people worry that gloves are hard, so the stockinette helps simplify the knitting by avoiding having to worry about stitches at the same time as shaping. Done in a worsted weight yarn but on small needles, the gloves are fast to finish and fun to wear. They may get into your handknit woolies basket fast – but you’ll be sure to pull them out often!
