1 skein of Knitlob Lair’s Tuulen Tytär or approx. 350y / 320 m of fingering weight yarn.
Needles
3 mm / US 2.5 dpns or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge
25 sts x 36 rows = 4” x 4” in stockinette stitch in the round after blocking.

The sample was knit using Knitlob Lair’s Tuulen Tytär (437y / 400m per 100g, 100% merino) in Valaan laulu.
Notes
The arm warmers are knit in the round from elbow to wrist.
The pattern is written for dpns, but it can also be knit using circular needles if that is your preferred method for knitting in the round.

Pattern
CO 55 sts using the long-tail cast-on. Divide stitches onto four dpns as follows: 12, 11, 18 and 14.
Elbow Edge
Rnd 1: Knit.
Rnd 2: Purl.
Rnd 3: [K1, p1] until 1 st from end, k1.
Rnd 4: Purl.
Lace Body
From now on, on needles 1 & 2 you will work the lace pattern, either following the charts or the written instructions for the charts, and on needles 3 & 4 you will work in stockinette stitch and work the central baby cable. You will also be working the decreases on needles 3 and 4.
Begin working the set-up for the lace with Chart A as follows:
Rnds 1-7: Work across Rows 1-7 of Chart A, k14, p1, k2, p1, k14.
Rnd 8: Work across Row 8 of Chart A, k14, p1, bc, p1, k14.
Rnds 9-12: Work across Rows 9-12 of Chart A, k14, p1, k2, p1, k14.
Rnd 13: Work across Row 13 of Chart A, k14, pm, p1, k2, p1, pm, k14.
Then continue working the main lace pattern with Chart B:
Rnd 1: Work across Row 1 of Chart B, knit to m, sm, p1, bc, p1, sm, knit to end.
Rnds 2-6: Work across Rows 2-6 of Chart B, knit to m, sm, p1, k2, p1, sm, knit to end.
Rnd 7: Work across Row 7 of Chart B, knit to m, sm, p1, bc, p1, sm, knit to end.
Rnds 8-11: Work across Rows 8-11 of Chart B, knit to m, sm, p1, k2, p1, sm, knit to end.
Rnd 12 (decrease rnd): Work across Row 12 of Chart B, knit to 2 sts bef m, ssk, sm, p1, k2, p1, sm, k2tog, knit to end. (2 sts decreased; 53 sts)
Repeat Rnds 1-11 once then work the following round:
Rnd 12 (alt): Work Row 12 of Chart B, knit to m, sm, p1, k2, p1, sm, knit to end.
Then, repeat Rnds 1-12 (work the dec rnd of rnd 12) 4 more times. (8 sts decreased; 45 sts)
Then repeat Rnds 1-12 (work the alt rnd of rnd 12) 2 more times.
TOP EDGE
Rnd 1: Purl.
Rnd 2: [K1, p1] until 1 st before end, k1.
Rnd 3: Purl.
Rnd 4: Knit.
BO all sts.
FINISHING
Weave in all ends. Block to measurements to open up the lace.
