Welcome to another STEM issue!
I’m always fascinated with how other people’s brains work – especially the submissions I get for STEM issues.
For this issue, the designs are inspired by:
- an Astronomer (for Science) – see Caroline’s Skies
- a surface where 2 dimensions are really 3 (for Mathematics) – see Both Sides of the Same Story
- a simulated world (for Technology, but also for Science [biology or botany]) – see Daisy World
We also have a Designer Focus on Rachel Wolfe – she’s the designer of Caroline’s Skies and MANY others!
Oh, and we have a new-to-Knotions model (Amber Paige) showing us the designs. And since she’s new, we also have an interview with her too.
Keeping with the theme of STEM and making you smarter, we compiled a few of our favorite tutorials.
We’re also sharing our thoughts on 2 books, in our Knotions Wayback series. (one of them is from 1939!)
And finally, we have a new Stitchopedia, showing you 6 different knitting stitch patterns.
I hope you love it as much as I do. And feel free to leave a comment for what you’d like to see in a future STEM issues (because, yeah, we’ve already penciled in one for next year too).
