s3: slip 3rd stitch on left needle over the two sts to its right, k1, yo, k1
dec4: Sl1 pwise, sl2 kwise. Sl stitch 2 from the lefthand needle over stitch 1. Sl1 purlwise. Sl stitch 2 from the righthand needle over stitch 1. Sl1 from right needle to left. Sl stitch 2 from the lefthand needle over stitch 1. Sl1 pwise. Sl stitch 2 from the righthand needle over stitch 1. Sl1 from right needle to left.
Work an s3. 4 sts dec’d, 3 sts between the two purl columns.
Rose Bud Pattern
Rnds 1 & 2: [k3 p2]
Rnd 3: [s3, p2]
Rnds 4, 5 & 6: [k3 p2]
The cuff pattern is worked throughout for the palm. Keep continuity of pattern even while you are working leave pattern for the back of hand.If you make a longer cuff you will need another skein of yarn to make the shawlette, too.If your set has 6 needles, you may wish to put the leaf pattern stitches on a separate needle.

Left Hand
CO 60 sts onto one dpn. Distribute sts as follows: Needles 1 and 3: 16 sts, needles 2 and 4: 14 sts. Join for working in the rnd, being careful not to twist.
Rnds 1-4: k1, *p2 , k3, rep from * until 4 sts rem, p2, k2..
Change to Cuff Chart and work 5 reps of cuff pattern (approx. 3.5 ”), ending with Rnd 2. If you desire a longer mitt, work more repeats.
Gusset
Work Leaf Chart over needles 1 and 2 and cont Cuff Pattern over needles 3 and 4. At the same time work gusset at the end of needle 4 as follows:
Rnd 1: Pm, m1
Rnd 2: K all gusset sts
Rnd 3: Sm, m1, k1, m1
Rnd 4: K all gusset sts
Rnd 5: Sm, m1, k to end of gusset sts, m1
Rnd 6: K all gusset sts
Repeat Rnds 5 and 6 until you have a total of 23 gusset sts, then continue in St st until you have finished Rnd 32 of Leaf Pattern. Put gusset sts on a stitch holder.
Rejoin other sts in the rnd and finish Leaf Pattern.
Bind off loosely or use the Decrease Bindoff {see our tutorial}.

Evenly space 23 gusset sts onto 3 dpns, pick up 2 sts at join ridge, pm for beg of rnd.
Round 1: *p2 , k3, rep from * to end of rnd.

Next Row (WS): P2, k2, p3, k2, sm, yo, p to m, yo, sm, k2, p3, k2, p2.
Cont patt as set and increase 2 sts every row by working a yo after first marker and before second marker.
Increase to 197 sts, then k 4 rows and keep increasing on every row. BO loosely. Block lightly.
Finishing
Weave in all loose ends.
