Pattern Notes
The capelet is knit flat, bottom up beginning with the lace border that transitions to ribbing. The first and last 2 stitches are edge stitches and are worked in garter stitch (knit on both right and wrong side rows) throughout.

With larger needles, CO 119 (167) sts.
Work Lace Border pattern from chart or written instructions.
Lace Border
Follow below or use the chart.
Row 1 (RS): K3, k2tog, yo, *k1, yo, sk2p, yo; rep from * until 6 sts rem, k1, yo, ssk, k3.
Row 2 and all WS rows: K2, purl until 2 sts rem, k2.
Rows 3 and 5: K3, k2tog, yo, *k5, yo, sk2p, yo; rep from * until 10 sts rem, k5, yo, ssk, k3.
Row 7: K5, *yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k3; rep from * until 2 sts rem, k2.
Work Rows 1 to 8 of Lace Border 2 more times (a total of 3 times). Work Rows 1 and 2 once more. Change to smaller needles and begin ribbing.
Ribbing
Row 1 and all RS rows: K2, *p3, k5; rep from * until 5 sts rem, p3, k2.
Row 2 and all WS rows: K5, *p5, k3; rep from * until 2 sts rem, k2.
Work ribbing until piece measures 10 (15)” or 25.5 (38) cm from CO edge. BO in pattern.
Finishing
Weave in ends. To wet block, stretch and pin out the lace border. Do not stretch the ribbing.
