A beautiful lace pi shawl with a unique stitch pattern based on a secret code for the word “Knotions” and a knit-on border.
Editor’s Note: How cool is it that Tanja designed an entire shawl with the word “Knotions” in it? I’m floored and stunned and VERY complimented that she’d take this time and effort. Just, wow.

Alpaca Yarn Company Mariquita hand-dyed (50% alpaca, 50% tencel; 400 yds [366m]/100g): Blue Suede Shoes, 3 skeins.

The sample used 820 yds [750m]/205g for the shawl. This is 3 skeins, but many skeins are heavier than their stated weight and this was the case for the sample: it used 2 heavy skeins with a small amount left over.
