The Madame Galen Wrap is a simply shaped wrap with lots of texture to keep it interesting. A variety of slipped stitch patterns are used that evoke thoughts of a garden, along with Latvian braids and an applied i-cord edge.
Inspiration was drawn from the warm, rich colors of the Mediterranean spice markets and gardens overlooking the sandy coastal beaches.
The paprika color is reminiscent of trumpet flower vines (Madame Galen variety), which grow abundantly near my home. The wrap’s finished dimensions are long-enough to wrap around the body without falling off the shoulders.
Worked in a mercerized cotton yarn, the Madame Galen Wrap has just the right amount of sheen and drape without being too warm…perfect for breezy summer evenings!
