Rushing River Cowl is inspired by the beautiful colors and rippled texture of water as it travels down and around rocks and becomes white water churning over rapids. The lace and texture features are reminiscent of rushing water and the foam created by its passage in and among boulders.

Pattern Notes
This pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up.
This pattern uses an I-cord bind off.
If you wish to increase or decrease the width, you can increase/decrease by 12 stitch repeats. All three pattern stitches are based on a 12 stitch repeat.
Use stitch markers to indicate repeats, if needed, to help keep track of the stitch patterns.

Finishing
CO two sts onto the left needle, k1, k2togtbl (this will be one of the CO sts and one st from the main cowl; 1 cowl st bound off), transfer the two sts back onto the left needle, cont until all sts are bound off, then k2tog.
Cut yarn, use tail to close gap to beg of rnd. Weave in ends, and block cowl to measurements.
About the Designer: Paula King
Paula King has been knitting since 2004, but started writing down her patterns in 2008 at the urging of the local yarn shop owner. She formerly specialized in knit/felted designs, but recently expanded the scope of her designs.
She has studied with Francoise Danoy in Swatch Studio for design and fiber related business courses, with Chelsea Fitch in FiberBoss College and Babs Rudlin in Yarn Academy.
Paula is a Florida native, where she currently resides with her husband. She also teaches and does social media for her local yarn shop, Knit and Stitch boutique in Cocoa Village, on Florida’s Space Coast.
