This is a very beautiful pattern for fingerless gloves, which is easy to make but has dramatic effect.
The lace motif that’s placed on the top of the hand gives a beautiful touch. This is a great pattern to try learning how to read a chart too.
Add metallic thread to make it dressier for the occasion.

These gloves are worked with 2 circular knitting needles. The instructions are written accordingly.
Glove Instructions
Right-hand Glove
With smaller needles CO 48 sts (24 sts on each needle) holding both the Red Heart and Kreinik yarn together. The entire glove is worked using both yarns. Join beginning and end making sure the sts are not twisted.
Work k2, p2 rib around for 20 rnds (2″/ 5 cm) starting with k2.
Switch to larger needles and work as follows:
N1: K2, work Lace Panel, k4.
N2: K24.
Repeat lace panel twice then start increasing for thumb:
Rnd 1:
N1: Work first 22 sts in pattern as established, pm, m1, k2.
N2: K2, m1, pm, k22.
Rnd 2: On N1, N2, knit the knits and purl the purls and yo’s.
Rep R1-2, making increases after the marker on N1 and before the marker on N2, until you have 14 sts (including m1s) for the thumb.
Note: The thumb are the sts at the end of N1 and at the beginning of N2.
Place 14 thumb sts onto waste yarn.
Continue working on the remaining 44 sts in pattern as established until you have 4 complete repeats of the lace panel. Switch to smaller needles and work 8 rnds of Garter stitch. BO all sts loosely.
Thumb
Remove the waste yarn and move 7 sts onto each of N1 and N2.
Rnd 1: Knit all sts picking up 2 sts from the body of the glove at the end of rnd; 16 sts.
Rnd 2: Pick up 2 sts from the edge of the body then knit all sts; 18 sts.
Work 4 rnds of Garter stitch. BO all sts loosely.
Left-hand Glove
