This cozy hat and mitts set will be perfect for spring walks and autumn days. The alpaca and wool blend yarn is lovely and soft, and the colorwork provides a double layer for extra warmth. Both hat and mitts have a stranded motif of pawprints, easy enough for a first colorwork project. They are worked in the round, so no need for sewing up afterwards. The hat and mitts come in three sizes and are quick to make, ideal for gift knitting.

Pattern Notes
The hat is worked in the round. You can use a circular needle for the hat, and then magic loop or dpns for the decrease section and the mitts.
This pattern is fairly easy to adapt. If you want to adjust the height of the hat, you can add or remove a few repeats of the pattern or work more plain rows before you start decreasing. To knit a hat with a larger or smaller circumference, simply add or subtract multiples of 10 stitches to the cast on number.
