- Beads are added after knitting the stitch, with a crochet hook.
- Gauge is not critical to this piece, however knitters gauge will affect final dimensions and yarn use

Gather 3 or 5: Put a crochet hook through those sts, using the hook pull loop of yarn through those sts, drop them from needle, then chain st (the chain is used to “anchor” the gather). See our tutorial on Estonian Gathered Stitches for more details on how to do this stitch.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER – MARY E. ROSE
Mary learned to knit as a young child and it has had an impact on her life ever since. As a teen, when her friends were getting jobs at fast food restaurants, Mary worked at her LYS, where the hours and working conditions were much better. As with many knitters, when she couldn’t find patterns for what she wanted to knit, she started designing her own.
She currently lives in Central Ohio with her three children, who also craft. She can be found on Ravelry and her blog, or with knitting needles in hand, guarding her stash.
This is beautiful. My daughter Kora and I both love it – we can’t wait to knit it.
i’m so glad you like it! any idea on colors?
Gorgeous shawl, can’t wait to knit this!
thanks! it’s a beauty and i also like that Mary designed it in both laceweight and fingering.
